NEW CONSERVATORY

The 1000 sqm internal hotel courtyard was transformed to the new drive court with a new-build 500m² conservatory over promenade terraces. A direct link created on this level with the adjacent Bailey's (sister) Hotel allowed access to this new facility for both hotels. An intermediate floor was created for mechanical services.

A new winter garden lounge bar & restaurant function facility was created with a service kitchen. A direct lift access from the drive court enabled this new function space to cater to large weddings and tours / ocean liner guests. Motorised blinds, specialist lighting design and ID from California.

During construction, a site office was set up alongside the structural engineers to work directly with the hotel’s in–house management contracting team.

The hotel was kept operational throughout the whole works, having obtained fire safety agreements with the LFPDA.
